Millie's Story

Millie was a stray,  she probably had an owner once but found herself in the streets of Romania and eventually ended up in a shelter, where the living conditions are too sad to describe.
Millie had to contend the shelter's food with other dogs, other desperate creatures like her, just trying to survive. She had bite marks all over her body, a remnant of that fight for survival that she systematically lost. 

On March 5th, 2021 unbeknownst to her, she embarked on a 16+ hrs journey that would bring her to us, to a home of her own, to the life she deserved. Completely  matted and soiled by years of neglect and abuse, she was shocked and disoriented. Yet, ever gentle and delicate like a trampled flower. 

Under that mass of matted fur, she was skin and bones. But now Millie is safe and will never have to fight for food and love again.
